Yuletide Letter.

Thank you so much for agreeing to write for one of my fandoms. Two of these are a repeat from last year in terms of fandom and pairings. Unfortunately, the past year hasn't resulted in any fic for either of these two fandoms, so they're making another Yuletide appearance. I've just jotted down some ideas and likes that you can use as a springboard to completely different ideas/plots if you like. I'm sure I'll love anything you write!
Things I love: dark, angsty fics with happy endings. Character pieces. Father/son and pseudo-father/son platonic relationships (good, bad, damaging, complicated, etc!). Hurt/comfort. Stories that draw on a character's childhood/how their past influences who they are now. Emotional and physical trauma. Friendships.
Things I'm not so found of: gender switching, mpreg, death fic. Other than that, I don't have any particular squicks.
Ratings and pairings: I love gen and slash/yaoi equally, so you cannot go wrong on this front. I'm also more than happy with any rating under the sun.
On to the nominations!
Psyren
*laughs* I will nominate this fandom for every fic exchange in existence until I manage to convince someone to write in it for me ^_^
Haruhiko is my favorite character, so I would absolutely love something about him. I'd especially love something about his relationship with Kagetora, because that seems to have been incredibly important to him. We know Haruhiko doesn't have any family, just as we know that he is initially very visually resistant to Kagetora (while still going along with everything he says). Something maybe then about how they overcome Haruhiko's original defenses and fears/how Haruhiko slowly comes to trust Kagetora and open up to him in his own way? I must admit, I love hurt/comfort, so anything along this is especially wonderful. Angsty pasts, poor previous male role models - anything you can draw from the fact that all Haruhiko wants in canon is someone to take him in actually care about him.
I also love Haruhiko and Lan, so anything between the two of them would be fantastic as well. Their friendship rocks.
I'm good with either romantic or platonic pairings for the above. The first scenario probably lends itself more to gen, although I don't mind either way. Heh. Maybe combined both ideas and have gen Haruhiko and Kagetora with just a smidgen of Lan/Haruhiko?
Toukaidou Hisame.
Tokaido Hisame is another series I just adore, and Shion in particular. There is a lot left unsaid/explored about the darker side of his past. I love his relationships with everyone, but especially Yakumo and Itsuki. Something hurt-comforty/angsty/dark between Shion and either of those characters would be much love, especially if it explored exactly what was so terrible about Shion's time as a slave that it turned him into a murderer who has regrets what-so-ever and would rather die than return to that to life. Abuse, prostitution, being pushed to his mental/physical limits and just having a bit of a psycotic break as a result – anything that touches on something even remotely like that would be great.
I know those sorts of themes aren't in everyone's comfort zone, so anything that's h/c or introspective Yakumo/Shion or Itsuki/Shion (gen or otherwise). For example, something where Itsuki and Shion are put into a horrible situation and have to come and trust each other (while learning some hidden truths about each other) would be awesome. ANYTHING Yakumo and Shion would be made of love, especially if it explored how their relationship actually works and Yakumo's pretty awesome (and a bit twisted) protective streak.
Houkago Guitar
This was a harder choice, because my love for the other two fandoms is really overpowering. Please don't feel bad if you are paired with me on this one, however! I'd still love something more about Kagurazaka and Ogasawara's relationship, the little oddities and insecurities they have to overcome as they finally become a couple. Make up conflicts for them, invent other relationships. Maybe delve into Kagurazaka's life and what made it so desperate and hard before Ogasawara entered his life.
