journeystory Big Bang fic.
Title: End Of The World.

Characters/Pairings: Takei and Shiba.

Summary: It was the end of the world as Takei knew it, and he was feeling ... wait, how did the rest of the song go again? Takei returns to work after Shingo's betrayal, only to be hit be a far greater one. Both Shiba and Takei struggle with the consequences.
Author’s Notes: Whew, what a journey! This is the longest thing I've written, and it really shows. When I planned this fic out it was only supposed to be 10,000 words (which is still huge for me), but it blossomed into something much longer and unexpected. I've learnt so much in the process, and while it's not very good, it's a huge stepping stone that means next time I try something this length it will be that little bit better. Things like plot, chapters, development over time - shesh! For a short fic writer, these were pretty new and exciting and scary! This fic wasn't originally meant to be broken up into chapters as the plan was for them to be somewhat connected segments, but that was before it took on a life of its own. As a result, the chapter lengths are all over the place. The last chapter was 8000 words before I chopped it in half, while some of the middle ones are only 1700 words long.
Chapter 1: It’s the End of the World As We Know it...
Chapter 2: The day after that other day. You remember which one
Chapter 3: Fancy Meeting You In A Place Like This
Chapter 4: Drinkies. What doesn’t kill you just punishes you in other ways
Chapter 5: What’s a breakdown or two between friends?
Chapter 6: Cotton wool and Candy floss
Chapter 7: One year, one bullet wound, 40 night outs, 3 photographs, 15 nightmares, countless stakeouts, 2 breakdowns, and a goat. Or: these vintages of you and I.
Chapter 8: : And one stakeout in particular: Watching me watching you watching tv.
Chapter 9: Life goes on and better things happen. These two things are not necessarily related.
Chapter 10: Reunited and it feels something-or-the-rather.
Chapter 11: Down into the rabbit hole.
Chapter 12: Towards an ending, undecided.
Chapter 13: .... and I Feel Broken/Exhausted/Angry/Petrified/Fine (please circle one)
